We implemented this idea from the ideas page. Now, next to the Trim and Cut buttons in the "Scissors" window, there is a Mute button (hotkey M). It mutes the selected audio fragment. It is a useful feature for getting rid of some artificial noises or clicks that need muting. Now you don't have to use Audacity or other external editors for it.
